Event Ticket Insurance

Event Ticket Insurance is ideally suited to promoters of major events such as sports or music events. It is simple to adapt third party systems so that clients can simply opt in, with no extra forms to fill in, to protect their ticket purchase.

Event Ticket Insurance will provide the paying customer or their personal representative with compensation up to $2,000, but not more than the face value of the event ticket, in the event they miss the performance.

The following causes of non-attendance are covered:

• death, serious injury or serious illness of the policyholder or their relative;
• jury service or a requirement to act as a witness in a court case
• a necessity to spend time with the police following a burglary, or damage caused by serious fire, storm, flood, explosion, subsidence, vandalism, fallen trees, impact by aircraft or stolen vehicle at the policyholder’s home;
• disruption to the public transport being used to get to the event ;
• the vehicle being used to get to the event being involved in an accident, breakdown or traffic jam for more than 3 hours, when there is no alternative route available to get to the event.
